Marathon is our favorite place in the Keys in Florida, about halfway up the Keys. While we were loading our kayaks one day his fellow came up to watch.
Kayaking in the mangroves.

Lunch in Key Largo
When visiting Everglades National Park we were warned that Black Vultures sometimes eat the rubber around car windshields. They had some tarps for visitors to use, but they had all been taken when we got there. A ranger told us to park in the sun and we probably wouldn't have a problem. We did and didn't have a problem. The pictures are of Black Vultures, Anhinga, Aligators, a Green Heron and lastly the resident Crocodile. None were concerned about our presence.
And a Wood Stork
We were at Guanabanas Restaurant in Jupiter, Florida one day when everyone one at a table close by jumped and screamed. It turned out that a squirrel had fallen out of a tree overhead and landed on their table.
There's a Turtle Hospital near Jupiter where I took this picture through a window of technicians repairing a damaged shell.
An Osprey nest off the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter
The Mississippi Gulf Coast near Biloxi.
We were at Guapo's Restaurant near DC and our daughter ordered a large margarita. As a joke I ordered a large Corona. The waiter brought me one.
We ran across this RV in Herkimer, New York
We spent a week in Long Lake, New York and really enjoyed that little town.
In October we traded the trusty Newmar Mountain Aire motor home for our toy hauler.

2011 Highlights
We started 2011 in our winter refuge near Jupiter, Florida
Pat got in trouble for feeding the Sand Cranes. One morning we saw a guy lobbing stones at one of the Sand Cranes and it took awhile of watching to figure out why. One of the cranes was seeing his reflection in the shine of the guy's new truck and was pecking at it.
St. Petersburg, Florida
Okeechobee, Florida
We were returning from Hutchinson Island one day when we noticed the Sheriff's Department, Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife trying to rescue a distressed manatee.
Key Biscayne to visit the injured manatee
Camping along the canal that connects the two lakes at Gulf Shores State Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama
We stopped in Biloxi, Mississippi without realizing the Blue Angels had a weekend show scheduled behind our campground at Keesler Air Force Base. The best show for us was their practicing over us on Thursday and Friday.
Fineview, NY is on an island in the St. Lawrence River near Alexandria Bay, NY. Here's some water front homes and the marina on the island.
Notre-Dame Basilica and Montreal
The first car I had that cost more than $300 was a black 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury. We were strolling around in Bar Harbor, Maine and saw this convertible that is as close to what I had that I've seen in many years. I wish I still had that car.
Madawaska, Maine is on the Canadian Border at the northern point of Maine and is one of the Four Corners for motorcyclists.
Moosehead Lake with a Moose and her calf.
We drove into the very rural town of Jackman, Maine the morning that a logging truck had tipped over and its load had taken out the bottom floor of a ho use killing a young occupant. It there that we met Carolyn and Gary who played a benefit for the family that lost their house and son. The picture of the logging truck is one similar that happened to be going through and did not tip over.
Weybridge, Vermont was the site of a farm established by our government in 1905 to improve the Morgan Horse for our cavalry.
